Overview
إن الاهتمام بعلم اللغة الاجتماعي لا يرجع إلى أسباب علمية فحسب ولا يعود أيضا إلى كون الحياة كلها نرجع إلى مسألة كلامنا لأنه وسيلة الاتصال بيننا، ولأن اللفة من أقرب الأنشطة فاعلية حين نريد استقصاء ملامح مجتمع معين، وهذا المعجم ضمن الدراسات اللغوية الحديثة، وعملية التحديث والحضارة اقتضت شيوع بعض الكلمات في المجتمع الكويتي المعاصر، فقد اتجه بعض الناس لإستخدام ألفاظ تعبر عن مدلولات جديدة أوجدتها الحاجة إلى التعبير عن اختراعات حديثة معينة حضارية أو كلمات ثقافية، عبر عنها بإحدى طرق نمو الثروة اللفظية لدى الفرد الكويتي.
