يعد صالون الشباب واحدا من الأنشطة الهامة التي استحدثت في فترة التألق الذي أرسا قطاع الفنون التشكيلية على ساحة الفن التشكيلي وتحت مظلة وزارة الثقافة التي قدمت دفعة وثابة لشباب مصر في مختلف المجالات الإبداعية، ولا يستطيع من يتابع بأمانة الراصد الموضوعي لمعارض الصالون أن يجحد رصدة حقيقية للنجاح الذي حققه في دوراته الأربعة عشر المنقضية في تفريخ إبداعي حقيقي للمواهب الواعدة وإتاحة مجالات وآفاق رحبة لحرية التعبير والتجريب والاقتحام والتواجد حيث يتأكد ذلك فيما نشاهده من معارض فردية تقام بين الحين والآخر لتفصح عن بلاغة وصدق موهبة هؤلاء الشباب سواء على المستوى المحلي أو الدولي، وقد تحقق للعديد منهم مكانات مشرفة بفوزهم في محافل دولية هامة كبينالي فينسيا الدولي ومؤخرا بينالي المحبة باللاذقية.
