هذا فهرس آخر لمخطوطات دار الكتب الظاهرية بدمشق ينضم إلى سلسلة الفهارس السابقة الصادرة عن تلك الدار، ولكنه مختلف عنها ؛ إذ لا يختص بفن من الفنون المعروفة ؛ من أدب وتاريخ وحديث وغير ذلك، بل يتناول نوعاً آخر من المخطوطات هو \"المجاميع\"، والمكتبة الظاهرية تضم نحوا من إثنى عشر ألف مخطوط آلت إليها من مصادر عديدة، يزيد هذا الرقم عدة آلاف آخر، إذ اعرفنا أن ما فيها من مجاميع قد يصل ما يضمه الواحد منها إلى نيف وأربعين أو نيف وخمسين بين كتاب ورسالة، وقد يقل هذا ليصبح كتابين اثنين فقط.
