هذا فهرس لمخطوطات المكتبة الظاهرية بدمشق-قسم الأدب-نقدمه اليوم جاهدين أن يكون قد استوفى جميع مخطوطات هذا الفن في هذه الخزانة، معتمدين في ذلك الرجوع إلى المخطوطات نفسها، دون الاكتفاء بما ورد ذكره في البطاقات والسجلات، وهذا يعني تقليب نحو إثنى عشر ألف مخطوط، هي مجموع ما في المكتبة، والبحث فيها عن كتب الأدب، نشر الكتاب في مطبوعات مجمع اللغة العربية في دمشق.
