يدرس هذا الكتاب الاستدعاء القرآني والشعري في ديوان فتيان الشاغوري أحد شعراء بلاد الشام البارزين زمن الحروب الصليبية، و قد بين الكتاب أن الشاعر تفنن في استيحاء آي الذكر الحكيم، و تدرج في ذلك من استخدام اللفظة المفردة إلى تبني الجو القرآني في بعض قصائده، حتى غدا قسم كبير من هذا لشعر يتنفس في جو مشبع بالثقافة الإسلامية، وبين انتفتاح شعر فتيان على تجارب الشعراء السابقين والإفادة منها في إنتاج الدلالة الشعرية، عن طريق التضمين والمحاكاة والمعارضة.
