في هذه الرواية يقدم لنا الراوي مجموعة من الشخصيات التي تواكب عصر \"أوسلو\" والتي تندمج فيه بحث تكون إحدى المعالم التي غيرت سلوك ومفاهيم المجتمع الفلسطيني، فرغم أن الرواية نشرت في عام 1997، وكان من المفترض أن تأخذ مكانتها / أهميتها عند المسؤولين الفلسطينيين، فهي تدق الخزان قبل أن نصل إلى ما وصلنا إليه، وتحذرنا من خطورة الفساد والانتهازية والتعامل مع المحتل، فهل يعقل أن نجلس اليوم مع المحتل في فنادق خمس نجوم، وبالأمس كان من نجلس معه هو السجان / المحقق / المحتل الذي اذاقنا شتى اشكال العذاب ؟ فالرواية تكمن أهميتها لما تطرحه من مخاطر \"أسلو\" على بنية المجتمع الفلسطيني، فهي تكشف كل مظاهر الفاسد في مؤسسات المجتمع المدني، المرأة / الطفولة / حقوق الإنسان / والشركات الخاصة.
