الكتاب يتناول سيرة حاكم من أشهر ملوك الأندلس في الفترة الزمنية اتي تلت سقوط الدولة الأموية في الأندلس وقيام ما يسمي بملوك الطوائف، المعتمد بن عباد أشهر وأقوي ملوك هذا العصر شاعر يعد من فحول الشعراء وفارس من فوارس الزمان وعاشق يدخله عشقه ضمن قصص العشق الأسطورية على مر التاريخ العربي المعتمد بن عباد ثالث ملوك بن عباد في أشبيلية .. وأخرهم طبعاً لأنه شهد أنتهاء حكم بني عباد بعد أستيلاء المرابطين على الاندلس .. أو ما تبقي من الأندلس.
