تطرق المؤلف إلى رحلات الغوص التي كانت تتم في مناطق بعيدة عن منطقة الخليج العربي مثل جزيرة سيلان وسقطرى وجزر «دهلك» التي تقع في البحر الأحمر وتبعد 2000 ميل بحري، وتحدث المؤلف في كتابه عن الملاحة بشكل عام في الخليج العربي والخرائط التي كانت تستخدم في الرحلات البحرية وتحديد مواقع المغاصات ومنها خارطة الشيخ مانع بن راشد آل مكتوم كما تناول سيرة الملاح العربي والإماراتي الشهير أحمد بن ماجد ومساهماته الكبيرة في الاكتشافات البحرية والملاحة عبر التاريخ.
