كتاب يشمل على مذكرات الأستاذ محمد داود، والذي تطرق إلى الجوانب التي ميزت الوسط الذي كان يعيش فيه ومدققا في وصف الحيثيات التي أحاطت به في مختلف مجالات الحياة. إذ يستهل بعرض للبرنامج الأول للكتاب، يليه أول مرحلة من حياة العلم المذكور والتي تخص فترة نشأته وطفولته فتتلمذه وتعليمه، منذ فترة المسيد والكتاب القرآني، مرورا بمرحلة دراسته بتطوان وتتلمذه على يد مجموعة من الشيوخ ؛ فيقدم بالمناسبة تراجم بعض شيوخ عصره بتطوان كالفقية سيدي أحمد الزواقي وسيدي أحمد الرهوني وغيرهما بلائحة طويلة مفصلها يتضمنها هذا الجزء من مذكراته. ثم يتم تسليط الضوء على الفترة التالية من حياة داود ألا وهي فترة رحلته العلمية إلى فاس وطلبه للعلم بها مضمنا إياها تراجم شيوخ العلم بفاس وبعض علماء فاس إبان فترة دراسته بها.
