هذه الدراسة تغطي مساحات تاريخية ظلت فارغة لعقود من الزمن بخصوص تأسیس رباط دار بن قريش، حيث ولأول مرة تضاف هذه النصوص القيمة الجديرة بالتمعن إلى كم من الروايات الشفهية والتي ظلت مهيمنة إلى حد ما على المشهد التأريخي بخصوص هذا الرباط، وقد اعتمد الأستاذ ابن عزوز -رحمه الله- على هذه النصوص / الرسائل الشاهدة على الأحداث والتي تميط اللثام وتكشف الحجب كتب ممن عن تأسيس الرباط عن جوانب ظلت مجهولة ومنسية إلى حد ما، مما حدا بالبعض هذا الرباط إلى القول بأن الزعيم الريسوني لم يكن له دور يذكر في واستعماله كمعقل جهادي يجابه منه العدو المحتل، وهم بهذا-على حسن نواياهم-إنما ينتقصون من شأن الجهاد المقدس والمقاومة المسلحة بالشمال الغربي للمملكة والتي لم يجتمع شملها إلا تحت قيادة الشريف الريسوني.
