يهدف الكتاب الحالي الثالث في سلسلة علم نفس الفن إلى الاستفادة من اختبار رسم المنزل والشجرة والشخص، وتطبيقه على الأطفال والمراهقين من سن 6 سنوات وحتى 17 عاما، وذلك لأن النسخة الموجودة حاليا من الاختبار في المجتمع المحلي والعربي تناسب الأعمار فوق 15 عاما، بالإضافة إلى أن غالبية العينة التي تم تقنين الاختبار عليها كانت من الراشدين ولأن تلك المعايير التي يتم على أساسها التفسير الكيفي في النسخة الموجودة حاليا من الاختبار في المجتمع المحلي والعربي-قد استخرجت في بيئات أجنبي تختلف عنا ثقافيا وحضاريا، وهذا الاختلاف الثقافي والحضاري يؤدي بدوره إلى وجود فروق في الدلالات النفسية القائمة على ذلك التفسير الكيفي، حيث توصلت بعض الدراسات عبر الثقافي في البيئتين العربية والأجنبية إلى ما يؤكد هذا المعنى.
