أجنحة جبل التنين في العادة، كان منفذو الأحكام يلبون الأمنيات الأخيرة للمحكومين ؛ لذا وقف هذا الشاب وظهره لحفرة الرمال، ووجهه لمنفذي حكم الإعدام. ويبدو أن وجهه المبتسم قد أصاب الرصاص بالقشعريرة، وطاشت رصاصتا منفذ الأحكام الواقف بجوار \"أن بينغ\". فمازحه الشاب قائلا إن لا لوم عليه، ربما حلم الرصاص بالتحليق في السحب، ثم التفت إلى \"أن بينغ\" وقال: \"عماه، لو استطعت أن تعدمني بشكل جيد ونظيف دون أن تفسد ملامحي، سأبعث على هيئة طائر لأغني لك طوال الطريق\"، فأومأ أن بينغ برأسه موافقا، وطلب منه أن يفتح فمه قليلا، وفي اللحظة التي فتح فيها الشاب فمه، ضغط \"أن بينغ\" على الزناد، فمرقت الرصاصة من بين أسنانه بسلاسة كالرياح التي تمر عبر مضيق جبلي.
