دور الأديان في السلام العالمي للديانات الإبراهيمية (الشرق أوسطية) الثلاث اليهودية والمسيحية والإسلام غنى روحي وأخلاقي قوي وفاعل باتجاه المستقبل، ويمكن أن يقودها ذلك إلى تحقيق التفاهم والعمل المشترك للوصول إلى عالم تتحقق فيه العدالة وينعم بالسلام، لكن الواقع شي آخر، فجذور الدم الفاصلة بين أتباع هذه الديانات مختلف وينـزف دائما والسؤال المهم هنا لماذا لا نسمع صراعات دينية بين الديانات العالمية الأخرى كالكونفوشيوسية والهندوسية أو البوذية والتاوية رغم أن المشترك بين هذه الأديان عميق وكبير ومتجذر؟ ولماذا تمركز الصراع بين الغرب والعالم الإسلامي تحديدا؟ ولماذا كان الإسلام عدوا للغربيين، يجعلهم يشحذون أبناءه لعداوته، ويطورون صناعتهم العسكرية استعدادا لحرب عليه، باردة كانت أم ساخنة.
