يتضمن هذا الكتاب ثلاثة فصول وخاتمة وأهم النتائج والتوصيات حيث تطرقت إلى السلام في الفكر الإسلامي الذي يوضح مفهوم السلام في القرآن والسنة ثم انتقلت إلى بيان فلسفة السلام في الإسلام حيث وضحت هذه الفلسفة نظرية السلام في القرآن الكريم، وأهمية تحقيق السلام الاجتماعي وبيان كيف كان السلام والأمن عند المفكرين الاسلاميين ثم انتقلت إلى توضيح السلام في الفكر الغربي وكان لزاما أن توضح نظرة الغرب للإسلام ثم بينت مرتكزات السلام الدولي وحمايته وأخذت نموذجا في دراستها الفيلسوف كانط حيث إنه كان لديه مشروعا دائما للسلام الدولي وكيفية تحقيقه.
