هذه هي الحكاية الصغيرة عن أدالجيزا ومانيلا وبعض سليلي عشق الإسباني فرنسيسكو روميرو بيريزإي بيريز، مع أندريزا دا أنونسياساو، الرائعة أندريزا بنت يانسان، الخلاسية الفاحمة. وفيها توصف، لكي تخدم مثالا يحتذى، وإنذارا ؛ أحداث هي بلاشك غير متوقعة، وفضولية، وقعت في مدينة باهياـوفي أي مكان آخر لا يمكنها أن تقع. إن أهمية التأريخ هي أهمية نسبية ولكن، هنا، يستحق الأمر معرفة أن كل شيء قد حدث في زمن قصير مدته ثمان وأربعون ساعة، ولكنه طويل بالحياة التي واكبته، وذلك في أواخر الستينيات أو في أوائل السبعينيات تقريبا. لم يتم التفتيش عن تفسير لها، لأن الحكاية تروى ولا تفسر.
