شوبنهاور : أثره : كان شوبنهاور يشكو من خفقان شديد في القلب، ومن تقطع في الأنفاس، فما استهل شهر أيلول من ذلك العام حتا بدت عليه أعراض ذات الرئة، وبينها كان يظن أنه سيبرأ منها برزت مضاعفات المرض في 21 أيلول، وظلت هذه المضاعفات أخذة في الاشتداد إلى أن كان اليوم الذي أردت به دون أية معاناة ل للآلام. قضى نحبه وهو على أريكته وفوقه لوحة غوتيه، قضى نحبه وحيدا في غرفة عمله. أما بلاطة قبره، فلم ينقش عليها سوى كلمتين اثنتين : آرثر شوبنهاور.
