تشير هذه الدراسة بأن التطور الاجتماعي والاقتصادي الهائل أدى إلى تضاعف مشاركة المرأة في الحياة العامة في مختلف الدول العربية، ودولة الإمارات ليست بمعزل عن نظيراتها، وخصوصا بعد إعلان اتحاد دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة في عام 1971 فقد كان للمرأة دور مشارك وحيوي للمشاركة في نهضة الدولة وتنميتها، وتمثل المرأة الإماراتية 43 % من إجمالي القوى العاملة في الدولة، وبنسبة 66 % من وظائف القطاع الحكومي بينها 30 % من الوظائف القيادية العليا المرتبطة باتخاذ القرار، كما تتولى المرأة الإماراتية ثماني حقائب وزارية في الحكومة الاتحادية، بعد التعديل الحكومي الأخير خلال فبراير من عام 2016.
