هذا الكتاب بعنوان \"شريان الدم : إنه حقا شريان الحياة الذي يجري في عروق الشعوب\" من تأليف الدكتورة بدور حسن عمر، يتناول فيه المؤلفة نهر النيل بوصفه رمزا للحياة والتاريخ والحضارة في مصر والسودان. يبدأ الكتاب بمقدمة توضح الأهمية الرمزية والحيوية لنهر النيل باعتباره شريانا يغذي الشعوب ويربط مصيرها. يستعرض الفصل الأول العلاقات المصرية السودانية من منظور حضاري وجغرافي. ثم ينتقل إلى الفصل الثاني الذي يتناول الحضارات التي نشأت على ضفاف النيل، مشيدا بدوره كمهد للإنسانية. ويختتم الكتاب بالفصل الثالث الذي يناقش الصراع في السودان وتأثيره على وحدة المصير بين دول حوض النيل. الكتاب دعوة لفهم أعمق لأهمية هذا النهر في بقاء واستقرار الشعوب الإفريقية.
