بين يدينا رحلة تعد من أهم كتب أدب الرحلات عن مدينة النجف الأشرف، وقد بدأ بها الشيخ كاشف الغطاء من النجف يوم السبت التاسع والعشرين من شهر رمضان المبارك من السنة التاسعة والعشرين والثلاثمائة والألف هجرية وبعد أداء مراسم الزيارة للإمام الحسين وأخيه أبي الفضل العباس (عليهما أشرف الصلاة والسلام) في كربلاء وخروجه منها يوم الخميس الرابع من شهر شوال متجها إلى مدينة الكاظميّة، ومنها كانت الرحلة إلى الشام ثم أتمها حيث توفق لأداء فريضة الحج كما دونها بما يتمتع القارئ اللبيب متنقلا بين صفحاتها التي نمقها الشيخ بقلمه السيال وأسلوبه السهل الممتنع.
