يتناول كتاب (الحضارة العربية .. الأصول والتأسيس) تاريخ الحضارة العربية وأنها انطلقت انطلاقتها الكبيرة ووصلت إلى أرقى المواقع، وكان طبيعياً في المرحلة الأولى من هذه الانطلاقة -شأن كل حضارة وليدة- أن تستوعب إنجازات الآخرين في العلم والفكر، ثم تبني عليها، وكانت أبرز الحضارات في عصر بدايات الحضارة العربية وهي الحضارة البيزنطية ذات الأصول الإغريقية والحضارات الفارسية والهندية والصينية قد تلقت منها الحضارة العربية الكثير من المؤثرات المدنية أي المؤثرات المتعلقة بالتمدن والفنون وأساليب المعيشة، والكثير من أساليب إدارة الدولة وتدوين الدواوين وبعض المؤثرات الأدبية.
