هذا الكتاب وهو عبارة عن بانوراما صورية لذاكرة مدينة، وهي البصرة، حيث تضمن عناوين تراثية وفلكلورية مختلفة من أبرزها \"صور من الذاكرة \" حيث تمثل جزء من حياة البصريين وكذلك دور العبادة التراثية لمختلف الطوائف الدينية في البصرة إضافة إلى القصور والبيوت التراثية وأسواق البصرة القديمة. وتطرق الكاتب غلب أيضا إلى الألعاب الشعبية القديمة في البصرة والأكلات الشعبية وتمورها وفواكهها وساحات البصرة الرياضية وحمامات واستوديوهات أيام زمان. كما تطرق في جزء آخر من كتابه إلى المقتنيات القديمة التي كانت ترافق حياة البصريين في خمسينيات وستينيات القرن الماضي والتي تناول فيها الاعتقادات التي هي جزء من حياة وطبيعة المجتمع العراقي بشكل عام والبصري بشكل خاص.
