هذا الكتاب يأتي ضمن سلسلة من الردود اليمانية على مفاخرة النزارية لهم، حيث ورد في الكتاب تلك المفاخرات التي ابتدأها في الإسلام وفتح بابها الشاعر النزاري، الكميت الأسدي في قصيدته المذهبة التي افتخر فيها بفضائل النزارية وذكر مثالب ومعايب القحطانية والتي مطلعها : \"ألا حييت عنا يا مدينا... وهل بأس بقولنا مسلمينا\" وذكر أيضا رد فعل عنيف من شعراء اليمانية وخصوصا بالشام بداية حيث رد عليه الشاعر حكيم بن عياش الكلبي ورد على الكميت أيضا دعبل بن علي الخزاعي شاعر القحطانية في العصر العباسي الأول بقصيدة على وزن قصيدة الكميت وقافيتها، أورد فيها فضائل القحطانية ومثالب النزارية.
