هذا معجم للمصطلحات النحوية والصرفية وفيه تصنيف المواد المشروحة ثلاثة أصناف، وهي \"المصطلح الشائع والمعروف\"، نحو: الاشتغال والتنازع والنعت والحال والتمييز وقد تم تعريف هذا النوع بحسب ما اتفق عليه النحاة دون تغيير أو تحوير مع التدليل عليه بالأمثلة المتنوعة والشواهد الموثوق بها، و\"الاستعمال المتكرر للفظ ما من أجل التعبير به عن إجراء خاص\" نحو الذكر والتأصل والتقديم والتأخير والحمل والاستشهاد وقد عرفت هذا النوع تعريفات تقريبية أحلت الكثيرة منها إلى مراجعها بعد أن بسطت شرحها وتوضيحها، و\"الظاهرات النحوية والصرفية\" نحو الحذف والتخفيف والشذوذ والاضطرار والخلاف وقد تم كذلك تعريف هذه الأنواع تعريفا تقريبيا مع التدليل الوافي عليها، ثم إحالة معظم الشواهد الواردة في المعجم إلى قائليها.
