يتناول كتاب (العرب بين الوحدة والانفصال) والذي قام بتأليفه (تميم منصور) في حوالي (290 صفحة) من القطع المتوسط موضوع (القومية العربية) وتشير مقدمة الكتاب إلى أن الكثير ممن عالجوا مسألة الوحدة العربية يجهلون حقيقة النفسية العربية ولم يقدروا أهمية هذا المشروع بالنسبة للمثقف العربي وقد تناول في كتابه فهم عملية الوحدة العربية وأسباب فشلها وإشكالياتها حيث اعتمدت على التطابق بين الجماعة والثقافة مشيرا إلى أن الحركة القومية آمنت بحق الأمة العربية بإقامة دولة خاصة بها في حين لم يكن عامل سياسي مشترك بين المجموعات المختلفة كما وقد أهداه إلى كل الشهداء الذين قدموا أرواحهم من أجل إقامة نواة للوحدة العربية.
