تنطلق الرواية بعفوية، وتسلسل يغري بالمتابعة، وسرد يخترق ويصل بسهولة، يوحي باستحضار المتلقي المفترض أثناء عمليتي التخييل والكتابة، فيبدو المتخيل القصصي من زاوية منفرجة كحلقة مفتوحة حيث الحكواتي يمهد للمتفرجين لانطلاق الحكي. يسافر الراوي عبر الزمن ويقص أحداثه الماضية التي عجنته وأعدته ومدته بما يحارب، ليصل إلى ما وصل إليه في زمن الحكي، أو زمن البوح بما علق منها أو ما ساهم في نحت وتكوين الأنا الساردة. يتضح في ما يلي: (أريد حقا أن أخلد للراحة، لكن رأسي ليست وسادة، راسي تكتظ حد الانفجار بآلاف القطع الماسية، يحاول فكري الإمساك بها من أجل صهرها وتنضيدها في هذا المخزن المبعثر، ودماغي سوق يضج بالجلبة، كل يوم أضيع كأني في متاهة كل مخارجها موصدة في وجهي)
