عادت سيريزا من النسيان وحققت العديد من النجاحات الانتخابية الملحوظة وكان العامل الأساسي وراء ذلك خيبة أمل أنصار حزب \"باسوك\" الذين كانوا غير راضيين عن عمل الاشتراكيين في المعارضة وصوتوا لسيريزا.أما حاليا فإن سيريزا عبارة عن ائتلاف من 12 حزبا وحركة اجتماعية ومنظمة، الجوهر المشترك بينها هو مقاومة التوجه النيو ليبرالي وهدفهم هو إيجاد احتمالات أكبر للعمل والتواصل مع الجمهور من أجل الدفع إلى الأمام نحو تطير يسار موحد، يرى الحزب ظهور يسار جديد معولم متعدد الأوجه وبالتالي الأمل في عالم مختلف يكون فيه البشر أهم من الأرباح. يتمسك أغلبية أعضاء الحزب بشدة بمشروع إنشاء \"القطب الثالث\" في المجتمع، من أجل تحقيق تغيير جوهري.
