رواية \"غــ(...)اب\" لبانوس يوانيذيس، هي سيرة ذاتية لمراهق (بتروس أرخونديذيس) التي يعتبر الــ Alter ego للكاتب وهو بطل ثلاثيةــ في مراحل عمرية مختلفة : \"ديفا، أمريكا 66De profundis وغــ(...)ـاب\". عندما يحكي شيخ في الخامسة والسبعين عن طفولته ومراهقته فعلينا أن ننتبه قليلا، فهنا يأخذنا بانوس يوانيذيس إلي قبرص الإنجليزية المحتلة في فترة 1940 إلى 1955 ويصف لنا وجه الحاكم والمحكوم، المحتل والمستعبد، الظالم والمظلوم. فتبرز الشخصية القبرصية تبحث عن الأمل في حياة أفضل. جاءت شخوص روايته من الشعب ومن عائلته وأصدقاء الأب والابن، يبعث الحياة فيهم وفي المكان والزمان ويعطي لهم لونا وطعما ورائحة حتى يدخل المتلقي في عالمه ويعيش معه في قبرص تلك الحقبة. مزج الكاتب بين رهافة القص وخفة الظل والحكي المباشر ووظفهم لخدمة رواية تعد سيرة ذاتية لقبرص وشعبها في تلك الفترة.
