لا شك أن التوجه الثقافى الذي اتخذته دراسات الترجمة على مدى السنوات الخمسة عشرة الماضية يرجع في جانب منه إلى النمط المطرد في الترابط الدولي في عالمنا، والحاجة إلى زيادة الترجمة، وتحسين مستواها، وهو ما يفرض علينا ضرورة تجاوز مجرد الألفاظ، فلا يكفي التوصل إلى أفضل طريقة لنقل ألفاظ النص المصدر، بل الأهم معرفة ما تعنيه الألفاظ في سياق موقف معين، وسياق ثقافى محدد.
