يشرح هذا الكتاب \"معارك الجيش العراقي الكبـرى\" من عام 1973 إلى عام 2003 فبعد 44 يوما من سقوط بغداد واحتلال العراق من قبل الولايات المتحدة الأميركية وبريطانيا وحلفائهما وكان ذلك في يوم 2003 / 5 / 23 حين أصدر الحاكم الأميركي للعراق (بول بريمر) المهندس التنفيذي لمشروع تدمير العراق الحديث بكل مؤسساته قرارا استراتيجيا ضمن خطة التدمير هذه بإلغاء الجيش العراقي وباقي القوات المسلحة العراقية وبكل مؤسساتها الدفاعية والأمنية وبهذا إسدل الستار الحديدي عن تاريخ أكبر مؤسسة عسكرية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط في التاريخ المعاصر وبكل خبراتها الكبيرة والواسعة.
