صدرت السيرة الذاتية الأدبية للأديب والناقد والمترجم المصري الدكتور محمد عناني في ثلاثة أجزاء على مدى خمس سنوات (1998-2002) كان الجزء الأول يحمل عنوان \"واحات العمر\" الثاني \"واحات الغربة\" الثالث \"واحات مصرية\" وتمثل خيطا متصلا من الأحداث الأدبية في فترات ثلاث ويختص الجزء الأول بفترة النشأة والجذور والتكوين من 1945 إلى 1965 والجزء الثاني يتناول فترة التخصص العلمي في الخارج والاصطدام بثقافة أجنبية من 1965 إلى 1975 الثالث يتناول العودة إلى مصر والعمل بالكتابة المسرحية والنقد والترجمة حتى نهاية العمر الوظيفي الرسمي (1975-2000)
