\"أجمل رجل غريق فى العالم\" قصة قصيرة كتبها ماركيز فى الستينيات وتحكى عن قرية ساحلية مكونة من عشرين بيتا فحسب تصلها جثة رجل غريق ومع أن وصول جثة غريق ليس بالأمر نادر الحدوث فإن الوصول هذه المرة يقلب أحوال القرية كلها بناسها وبيوتها، فقط لأن هذا الوصول هو الأجمل على الإطلاق فى تاريخ القرية وفقط لأن هذا الذى جاءت جثته هو الأجمل فيما يعرف أهل القرية من غرقى.
