يتناول كتاب (موسوعة تاريخ السينما في مصر) والذي قام بتأليفه أحمد الحضري من القطع المتوسط موضوع (تاريخ السينما)، وقد صدرت ثلاث أجزاء من الموسوعة وهي تغطي الفترة من 1896 حتى 1945. وتعتمد الموسوعة على توثيق كل الأفلام الروائية التي تم عرضها على شاشات السينما وإنتاجها مصري، وفي آخر الكتاب عدة قوائم مرتبة فيها الأفلام حسب تاريخ العرض والترتيب الهجائي وأسماء المخرجين، وقائمة أخيرة بالأفلام القصيرة.
