يعتبر كتاب (سبائك المسجد في أخبار أحمد نجل رزق الأسعد) للمؤلف عثمان بن سند، من أوائل المؤلفات التي تحدثت عن تاريخ الكويت في الفترة من عام 1756 وحتى عام 1809 وطبع الكتاب في مطبعة البيان في بومبي بالهند عام 1897 ويتحدث عن التاجر أحمد بن رزق وعن الشيخ عبد الله الصباح (عبد الله الأول) حاكم الكويت الثاني وكذلك تناول تأسيس مدينة الكويت وتاريخها في تلك الفترة.
