Overview
ينقسم الكتاب إلي ثلاثة أبواب رئيسية جاء أولها حول نظرية الفلكلور وتاريخه ويبدأ بتحديد مصطلح فلكلور من حيث دلالته علي إعادة موضوع الدراسة وعلم دراسة الفلكلور ولينتقل بعد ذلك إلي الإشارة إلي الخلاف القائم بين الباحثين حول مضمون الفلكلور ومجاله وطبيعته والحدود التي تفصله عن العلوم المتشابكة ويري المؤلف أن الاتجاهات القديمة تري أن الأدب الشعبي أدب لا تظهر فيه السمة الشخصية للمبدع بينما الأدب المكتوب له مؤلفه المحدد دائما وهو يري أن مجهولية المؤلف لا تعني لا شخصية الإبداع الشعبي ومجهولية الأعمال الفلكولورية وعدم انتسابها إلي مؤلف ترجع إلي أن أسماء المؤلفين لم يكشف عنها في معظم الحالات ويؤكد المؤلف ان هذا النوع من الإبداع لا يقل تنوعا وأهميته في الأنماط الشخصية عما نراه، في الأدب المدون.
