Study on the Impact of Smart and Innovative Delocalization Practices on International Trade
Faced with cumulative competition linked to the globalization of markets, and increasingly strong demands in terms of performance, many firms are led to ask the question of relocating either part or all of their activities. Relocation is a strategic decision which obliges companies to review and reconfigure their operations management methods, in particular those concerning the supply chain. The working objective is to identify the key factors to take into consideration for the design of the supply chain in the context of delocalization. First, we tackle the problem of defining delocalization and the supply chain. Next, we review the literature to define the specifics of the problem of relocation and their impact on international trade, notably the case of Morocco, and thus identify all the factors and constraints to be taken into account when reconfiguring the global supply chain in order to adapt it to the context of the practice of intelligent delocalization.
THE IMPACT OF LOGISTICS CAPACITIES ON THE LOGISTICS PERFORMANCE OF LSPS: RESULTS OF AN EMPIRICAL STUDY
This paper has a dual objective, to specify the logistical capacities of Moroccan Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and to understand the process by which these capacities contribute to the logistical performance of LSPs. Methodologically, we used the qualitative approach based on a sample of sixteen LSP. The results of this research show that the main logistical capacities of Moroccan LSPs are flexibility and innovation, which respectively abound in reactivity/proactivity and technological innovation / administrative innovation. Similarly, \"customer response\" appears to be a purpose that overlaps with logistics performance. Thus, this variable mediates between flexibility and logistics performance. This study also tries to analyse the emergence of new moderating variables, particularly \"logistics skills,\" which strengthen the relationship between innovation and customer response, and \"communication with employees\" as a support for maintaining performance logistics.
The success factors and objectives of strategic monitoring practices in Sub-Saharan Africa: a case study of Moroccan exporting SMEs
The aim of this paper is to clarify the role of the strategic monitoring in the process of internationalization of the Moroccan SMEs in the Sub-Saharan African market and to identify the determinants and risks that influence the success or the failure of this internationalization. The objective is to assess a roadmap for the practice of strategic monitoring adapted to SMEs in the African context. By conducting a study on 14 Moroccan SMEs, the study’s findings confirm that the strategic monitoring practices are influenced by the perceived uncertainties of internationalization relative to six environmental sectors. The management of uncertainty depends on the company's ability and its informational skills to access useful and valid information on the national and international markets. Managing the complexity of a constantly volatile environment requires strategic intelligence stimulated by strategic uncertainty. The results of analysing the collected information enable exporting SMEs to make the right strategic decisions and consequently reduce and/or eliminate perceived uncertainties.
Impact of industrial free zones on the business environment of emerging countries
Free economic zones are one of the many ways for governments to alleviate a national crisis situation, by helping increase trade, enhance production, and create provisions of foreign direct investment. That can help in improving the economic condition of the country and enhance the quality of life of the country’s population. Free economic zones, or free zones, in Morocco have also been established for similar reasons, and due to its perfect geographical location, has become one of the top priority destinations for regions across the globe for logistic purposes. To meet this objective, the reflection carried out at the level of this study turned towards the development of free zones in connection with the business environment in emerging countries, taking into consideration the case of Morocco, then it has a very strong logistical evolution as well as an exceptional geographical position for the improvement of its positioning in international competitiveness. This article presents the results of a quantitative study on the business environment of free zones in Morocco as well as on their economic impact aimed at improving the country's logistics level. This study aims to understand the theoretical and practical purpose of establishment of free zones in Morocco, their significance in the logistics industry, and their key advantages and challenges. This study provides a research background for industry practitioners and academicians of different regions alike to understand the use of Moroccan free zones to effectively strategize logistics decisions from a corporate standpoint, leading to better economic performance.
