The integrated leader
2005
To achieve real and sustainable success for organizations it is clear that leaders must develop their innate strengths - both masculine and feminine. As Carly Fiorina has said, when you come right down to it, there is no male or female way to lead in the 21st century. Leaders must learn to be integrated leaders. To become an integrated leader requires 3 steps: 1. Examine your assumptions about gender and leadership. 2. Assess your integrated leadership quotient. 3. Lead from outside the gender box.

How to just ask for what you want?
2015
For example, if you're targeting a promotion, you might ask something like \"Now that I've been in this role for two years, what actions would it take to advance to the next level?\" - Use \"what if\" responses. One way to build on your boss's responses during the open dialogue stage is to have some \"what if\" responses ready to go. \"What if\" responses give you a way to further the conversation by suggesting specific actions that you might take when your boss makes a general suggestion. If your manager denies your request the first time, it doesn't necessarily mean that \"no\" is the final answer.
