The research addressed institutional excellence in institutions of special education where the research clarified the concept of institutional excellence and its objectives, and its importance, and the principles of institutional excellence, where the stages of application of institutional excellence include the stage of preparation and preparation for institutional excellence, the stage of planning for institutional excellence, the stage of organization for institutional excellence, then the stage of organization for institutional excellence, and finally the stage of exchange and dissemination of experiences, as well as the research addressed the requirements of applying institutional excellence in special education institutions, which is a distinct leadership, an integrated strategy plan, and a system of policies regulating methods, methods of work and flexible organizational structures as well as a sophisticated system to confirm overall quality. The system includes an integrated information system, decision-making support, performance evaluation, and a system for preparing and developing personnel. The research examined the regulatory, financial, human, and technological barriers that hinder the implementation of institutional excellence in private education institutions.

Algerian EFL Secondary School Teachers' Professional Development

This paper aims at investigating Algerian EFL secondary school teachers' professional development activities and whether they consider them as an institutional obligation or a personal pursuit. To reach this aim, a quantitative approach is adopted based on an online questionnaire, which was addressed to 40 teachers from different secondary schools in the districts of Constantine and Oum El Bouaghi via social media networks such as Facebook groups. The data obtained from the questionnaire revealed that the participants engaged in few professional development activities. They often practice self-monitoring and peer observation, and they sometimes use teaching portfolios. Moreover, workshops are the least practiced activities, yet teachers claim that they are good opportunities to discuss different issues related to their work. The findings also showed that teachers regard their professional development a personal pursuit rather than an institutional obligation. In short, professional development is considered a responsibility driven by personal motivation.

The Role of Supply Chain Excellence Determinants in Improving Organizational Performance

This study aimed to examine how supply chain excellence determinants affect organizational performance in the Egyptian nuclear energy sector. The research problem lies in the lack of understanding regarding the specific factors that contribute to supply chain excellence within the context of nuclear energy in Egypt. The study identified four key determinants: effective risk management, effective stakeholders, efficiency, and project strategy. Organizational performance was assessed through three dimensions: strategic, operational, and financial performance. The researcher employed a descriptive analytical approach, using a questionnaire to collect data from a random sample of 384 individuals. The collected data underwent statistical analysis to validate the research hypotheses. The findings revealed a significant impact of the supply chain excellence determinants on organizational performance. Specifically, effective risk management, effective stakeholders, efficiency, and project strategy were found to improve strategic, operational, and financial performance within the sector. Based on these results, it is recommended that organizations in the nuclear energy sector strengthen their supply chain practices to enhance overall performance.

Peer Reviewer Experiences in Institutional and Academic Audits

Institutional audits are a cornerstone of quality assurance in higher education. In Zimbabwe, academic peer reviewers play a pivotal role in facilitating these audits, yet their experiences remain insufficiently explored. Understanding their perspectives is crucial for enhancing the effectiveness and credibility of audit processes. This study seeks to examine the experiences of academic peer reviewers engaged in institutional audits within Zimbabwe's higher education sector, focusing on the challenges, perceptions, and operational realities they face. The study adopted a qualitative case study design, drawing on the extensive experiences of a peer reviewer who has participated widely in institutional and academic audits. Data were collected through reflective narration and thematically analyzed to extract key insights. The findings reveal that while audits are essential for promoting quality, they are often perceived by institutions as a threat to autonomy. Although Zimbabwe's audit framework aligns with international standards, it faces local challenges such as ensuring impartiality, addressing disparities in institutional capacity, and balancing accountability with developmental support. Active stakeholder engagement and effective data management were identified as critical factors for successful audits. By highlighting peer reviewer experiences, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of institutional audits in the Global South and underscores the need for supportive, collaborative, and context-sensitive quality assurance systems.

The profitability equation can be significantly affected by a number of factors, including fluctuating international currency rates, rising raw material prices, market pressures to reduce product prices, and higher logistics expenses. Pharmaceutical companies are under continual pressure to reduce expenses without sacrificing quality. Manufacturing companies are becoming more interested in improving operational performance and reducing production costs. Businesses today have recognized the strategic necessity of lean production practices in order to increase and optimize their manufacturing productivity and cost effectiveness to remain competitive. State-owned pharmaceuticals face significant challenges adapting to the global market, as well as aligning with modern technology to deliver effective medicine at an affordable price and private multinationals' dominance of the market. Moreover, the burden imposed on state-owned pharmaceuticals to be responsive in meeting customers' demand while maintaining high standards of quality and controlling the overall costs. This research aims to test the relationship between implementing lean manufacturing and improving operational performance. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Responses from 337 usable questionnaires were analyzed in order to examine the relationship between implementing lean manufacturing practices and improving operational performance of state-owned pharmaceutical manufacturing companies in Egypt. Confirming previous studies, the results show a positive relationship between implementing lean manufacturing and improving operational performance.

يهدف البحث إلى بناء مخطط مقترح لتطبيق النموذج الأوروبي للتميز EFQM في الأندية الرياضية بمحافظة الدقهلية، استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي بالأسلوب المسحي، وتم إعداد استبيان، وتم التطبيق على عينة تم اختيارها بالطريقة العشوائية الطبقية، استطلاعية عددها (٤٩) فرد وعينة أساسية مكونة من (۲۹۸) فرد من مجالس الإدارات والمديرين التنفيذيين ومديري التسويق والأجهزة الإدارية والعاملين بالأندية الرياضية (شركات- خاص- أهلي) بمحافظة الدقهلية والبالغ عددها (٤٥) نادي رياضي، وكانت أهم النتائج إيجاد سياسة فعالة بالنادي ومعلنة لاستقطاب والحفاظ على العاملين ذوي المهارات والإمكانيات العالية امتلاك إدارة النادي المرونة الكافية للاستجابة للتغييرات المحيطة، قيام النادي بإدارة التغييرات الداخلية والخارجية لضمان استمرارية النجاح (قيادة التحول)، اهتمام إدارة النادي بتحليل عناصر البيئة الخارجية والكشف عن الفرص والتهديدات ووضع الاستراتيجيات المناسبة للتعامل معها، اهتمام إدارة النادي باحتياجات الأعضاء عند صياغة الغايات والأهداف الاستراتيجية للنادي، مع مراعاة تطبيق المخطط المقترح.
