سلط البحث الضوء على مفهوم التكافؤ في الترجمة. وقسم البحث إلى عدة عناصر، تناول الأول أصل مفهوم التكافؤ. وتطرق الثاني إلى التكافؤ ومفهومه والذي يمكن وصفه إما كعلاقة بين الأدلة اللغوية التي تظهر في النصين، وإما كعلاقة بين نصوص بكمالها، وبينت الأمثلة العديد أن وجود علاقات التكافؤ بين عناصر عديدة في النصين المعنيين غير كاف لوجود تكافؤ بينهما بطبيعة الحال. واختتم البحث بالعنصر الثالث والذي أشار إلى التكافؤ مفهوم طيع فهو بعيد كل البعد عن الاستقرار، ويرجع سبب هذا التغير إلى الترجمة في حد ذاتها وإلى طريقة النظر إلى النشاط الترجمي التي لم تكن ثابتة عبر التاريخ. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل المنظومة 2022

Equivalence is one of the challenges that face translators in the field of translation. Since translating economic texts plays a significant role in promoting communication and cooperation with other countries under the umbrella of globalization, the translator plays the key role in this context. This research attempts to investigate the equivalence at and above the word level in transferring economic texts from English into Arabic or vice versa. The study argues that equivalence in rendering the economic texts can be achieved particularly. The study tries to pay attention to the importance of financial translation that has witnessed a sort of disregard as compared with literary texts. This study reveals that bilingual dictioaries herein empoloyed can provide a valuable help to translators in the field. The study adopts Baker's approach to the translation of economic terms. It argues that equivalence can be targeted successfully in economic terms.

Translators in the field of medical translation encounter several challenges during their work such as terminology, lexical equivalence, cohesion failure, target acceptability, and text quality. Translating proper nouns in medical discourse is a difficult and confusing process for some reasons such as drugs marketing brands, which differ from one country to another, and the different terminology for the same terms, which are labeled after its discoverer in each culture (New mark, 1988, 35). This study is going to examine these challenges and difficulties each translator encounters in translating from English into Arabic in an audio-visual discourse. The case study will be an episode from the series ''Ask the Doctor'', An Australian medical series - concerned with healthcare subjects, the latest medical findings, and answering some questions regarding the welfare of humans - which has been broadcasted through a number of TV networks and has been translated into Arabic. The paper is going to show us the linguistic and semantic gains and losses and the best approaches to avoid these failures through examining content compatibility.

ترافق النص الشعري في مخبر الترجمة متلازمتا المتعذر والمستحيل وغيرهما من أعراض الامتناع التي تجتمع في إشكالية نقل الشعر موزونا مقفى من لغة إلى أخرى. وقد ظلت الإشكالية عالقة على هذه الحال، بل استمر تفاقمها، نظرا للنقص الفادح في الدراسات التي تسلط الضوء على الشعر في نظرية الترجمة. وقد أدت ضآلة المنجز الترجمي الجاد، والمراهن على الجودة أمام تلك الأحكام المعمّمة، إلى إحباط المسعى النظري لإيجاد مدخل أدبي وفني لترجمة الشعر يُفضي لتوسيع وجهات النظر إليها من الزاوية اللسانية والدلالية الضيقة إلى أفق نقدي وفني أرحب. فقد آن لترجمة الشعر أن تنزل منزل حالة إبداع. سنحاول من خلال هذه الدراسة مناقشة بعض أوجه تلك الإشكالية لندافع عن حق الترجمة في السعي لتجاوز أزمة الشعر والاستحالة، وذلك بمعاينة استجابة النص الشعري لمفعول الترجمة من اللغة الفرنسية إلى اللغة العربية، وإضاءة مناطق التناظر الفني في اللغتين، وإفساح مساحات الإمكان والإبداع والتناضح الشعري.

حاولنا في هذه الدراسة إبراز دور \"نظرية الهدف\" (Skopotheory) في تحقيق تواصل فعال وإنشاء تكافؤ وظيفي في لغة / ثقافة المتلقي من خلال تطبيق نموذج كريستيان نورد المتمثل في الإجابة على قائمة أسئلة Check-list)). بعد ترجمة المدونة المختارة وهي مطوية سياحية دعائية من اللغة العربية إلى اللغة الإنجليزية، توصلنا للإجابة عن أسئلة الدراسة التي تمحورت حول مشروعية \" تكييف\" سياق النص الأصلي في سياق التلقي باستعمال تقنيات اتضحت فعاليتها في تحقيق الغرض من الترجمة وهو تلبية احتياجات المتلقي في ثقافته الخاصة وإسقاط ما هو دون ذلك، إذ يتمتع المترجم بموجب هذه النظرية بسلطة اتخاذ القرار بالتعاون مع الباعث الذي يزوده بالمعلومات اللازمة في رسالة مختصرة. وفي هذا الصدد تؤكد نورد أنه لا يمكن الفصل التام بين الأصل والترجمة اللذان يلتقيان ولابد إما في الموضوع أو في مجال التطبيق سواء بائتلاف الغرض أو باختلافه. بعد التحليل والمناقشة خلصنا إلى أن فعالية \"نظرية الهدف\" عموما تكمن في تركيزها على تحقيق \"التكافؤ الوظيفي\" في سياق التلقي عكس النظريات السابقة التي حصرت الترجمة في نقل \"تكافؤ دلالي\". استنتجنا كذلك أن النظرية بمختلف مقارباتها تستعمل أدوات ما قبلها من النظريات كالنظرية اللغوية (تقنية الإضافة والحذف والتكييف) ونظرية التلفظ (تقنية التصريح والتضمين) ونظرية المعنى (تقنية الاختزال والإسقاط). أنهينا الدراسة بتوصيات أهمها ضرورة توظيف نموذج نورد ليس فقط في تعليمية الترجمة بل في ممارسة الترجمة المتخصصة بامتياز، وهذا ما أكدت عليه الدراسات السابقة، طالما أن علة وجود الترجمة هي التواصل مع \"الآخر \" الذي له لغة وثقافة واحتياجات ومبادئ \"أخرى\" مغايرة.

This paper is devoted to 'equivalence' as one of the most pivotal and controversial issues in translation studies. Most translation studies' theories are based on 'equivalence' as the most credible criterion for a good translation. Almost every translation comparison study involves a great deal of investigation concerning 'equivalence'. The problem of 'equivalence' is one of the challenges that many studies and writings about translation have dealt with. Therefore, it is considered one of the controversial issues that face translators. Hence, this encouraged many researchers to deal with it, each in his way, to tackle many sides of the problem of finding the closest equivalence, but they are certainly not the only studies that deal with the entire problem. many discussions about 'equivalence' came after the disputatiousness concerning the matter of finding ways to distinguish between 'literal' and 'free' translations in both: form and content.

This paper investigates the problem of equivalence in the translating process. The researcher tries to answer the following questions. 1. What are the factors that influence equivalence in the translating process? 2. What are the problems and difficulties that encounter translators? 3. Why an exact equivalence is impossible in the field of translation? The study adopts the Descriptive Analytic Method. The researcher uses a questionnaire as a main tool in this study, and analyzes the data by using Statistical Package for the Social Science Program which is known by the abbreviation of Latin letters SPSS. The participants consisted of 30 university students who study the English language (L2) as their major subject. They study in different levels at the English Department. Their ages almost between 23 to 25 years old. All of the students speak the Arabic language as their mother tongue and English language as (L2). The study reaches the following results: 1-There is no exact equivalence between two languages in the field of translation. 2-There are some real problems and difficulties that encounter translators. 3-There are many types of equivalence that can be used to reduce the problem of translating. 4- Different cultural aspects of two languages give inexact equivalence. The study, therefore recommends the following: The translator has to possess the important helping tools in order to perform his work or duty well. The translators have always a suitable knowledge about linguistic and cultural challenges. The learners have to know all problems which surround translation process. EFL learners should study seriously all the theories and types of equivalence and techniques of translation. Modern techniques of translation must be familiar with Specialized Learners. The learners must know all phrases which concern culture.
