Objectivs: The current study aimed to identify the extent of adolescents' exposure to videos on social media networks and the gratifications achieved by tenth-grade students in schools of Nablus Governorate. Metodology: The study followed a descriptive methodology and used a questionnaire as a tool to collect data from a sample of (283) male and female students from tenth grade in selected schools. Results: The study found that the majority of respondents watch videos on social media platforms daily, with a rate of (71%). The most used platform by the respondents was \"YouTube,\" with a usage rate of 82%. The most preferred topics by adolescents were related to Palestinian affairs, with an average score of (2.43) and a high rating. The main motivator for adolescents to watch videos on social media was the ease of use, with an average score of (2.69) and a high rating. The most common behavior while watching videos was eating and drinking, with a relative weight of (74%), followed by focusing on what was being watched, with a relative weight of (72%). Conclosions: The study showed that the most significant gratification students gained from watching videos was increasing their knowledge of current events, with an average score of (2.52) and a high rating, followed by learning information useful in their lives, with an average score of (2.49) and a high rating. Other gratifications included entertainment and feelings of happiness, with an average score of (2.47) and a high rating, as well as passing time and relieving boredom, with an average score of (2.46) and a high rating. \"Most teenagers expressed the need for awareness about the risks of videos shared on social media platforms. This opinion received the highest average score of (2.52), indicating a high level of agreement. It was found that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤.05) between the averages of teenagers' exposure to social media videos and the fulfillment of gratifications based on variables such as grade average, place of residence, and gende. Recommendations: Based on the study's findings, several recommendations were proposed, most notably encouraging teenagers to engage in physical and social activities that help balance real life and the virtual world, as well as incorporating media and technology education into school curricula.\"

أثر كل من العلاج المرتكز على الانفعالات والتدريب على المهارات الاجتماعية في القلق الاجتماعي وإخفاء الذات لدى طالبات المرحلة الثانوية بمحافظة إربد
الأهداف: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة أثر العلاج المرتكز على الانفعالات والتدريب على المهارات الاجتماعية في خفض مستوى القلق الاجتماعي وإخفاء الذات لدى عينة من المراهقات. تكونت عينة الدراسة من 66 طالبة من طالبات الصفين التاسع والعاشر في محافظة إربد في الأردن. المنهجية: تم استخدام مقياس للقلق الاجتماعي وآخر لقياس إخفاء الذات. وتم اختيار الطالبات بناءً على درجاتهن المرتفعة على مقياس القلق الاجتماعي، ومقياس إخفاء الذات. وقد وزّعن عشوائياً إلى ثلاث مجموعات متساوية العدد: مجموعتان تجريبيتان ومجموعة ضابطة. تلقت المجموعة التجريبية الأولى برنامج علاج مرتكز على الانفعالات، وتلقت المجموعة التجريبية الثانية برنامجاً للتدريب على المهارات الاجتماعية، أما المجموعة الضابطة فلم تتلق أي معالجة. النتائج: أشارت نتائج القياس البعدي إلى أن كلا البرنامجين الإرشاديين كان لهما أثر في تخفيض القلق الاجتماعي وإخفاء الذات من عدم المعالجة. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، فإن التدريب على المهارات الاجتماعية كان أكثر تأثيرا في خفض القلق الاجتماعي وإخفاء الذات من العلاج المرتكز على الانفعالات. الخاتمة: استنادا إلى نتائج الدراسة، يوصى بتدريب المرشدين المدرسيين على استخدام أساليب العلاج المرتكز على الانفعالات والتدريب على المهارات الاجتماعية؛ لمساعدة الطلبة في التعامل مع مشكلاتهم الأكاديمية والشخصية.

Unraveling the Impact of Cognitive Test Anxiety on Academic Performance among Adolescents

Background: Within the Indian society and its many communities, adolescents exhibit a wide range of individual differences, including cognitive abilities, learning styles, and personality traits. These differences can influence how students perceive and cope with test anxiety and related stress. Objective: The primary goal of this research study was to investigate the influence of cognitive test anxiety on academic performance in adolescents from both minority (Muslims) and majority (Hindus) communities in India. Method: Based on descriptive-inferential research design, a sample of 450 students was selected, with 223 students representing the majority community and the remaining 227 students representing the minority community. The participants were drawn randomly from various schools in Aligarh district, Uttar Pradesh, India. Finding: The findings of the study indicated a significant influence of cognitive test anxiety on the academic performance of both minority and majority community adolescents. Conclusion: On the bases of findings, it may be concluded that the influence of cognitive test anxiety on academic performance among adolescents of minority and majority communities is a complex as well significant issue, where socio-cultural factors, educational environment, and individual differences do contribute to cognitive test anxiety experienced by students.
