Cockburn sets Peebles a home run to complete
\"We've established a good partnership in a short space of time,\" admitted [David Cockburn], who was with Watsonians last season. \"The players are responding well at training and our success on Saturdays is all down to team-work, with no one player standing out, though [Scott Nichol], our veteran prop Jim Currie, and No8 James White, are in great form.\" Selkirk's marvellous last-gasp victory over Jed-Forest, with Guy Blair again showing nerves of steel to land the winning conversion from a difficult angle, will see them head for Myreside in confident mood. They are now level with Watsonians on 14 points and with just the one change - John McDonald at prop for New Zealander Joe Pito (broken bone in hand) - the visitors are confident they can make it a Border double over the Edinburgh side who lost to Kelso last weekend.
