LOCAL ART DEALER, BUSINESSMAN DIES
Packard's expertise in Indian art was known nationally, and he judged pieces around the Southwest. In the 1960s, Packard headed up the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts, the group that puts on the annual Indian Market in Santa Fe, and is credited with revitalizing the then-ailing event. The growth of the Indian arts trade in Santa Fe, however, eventually drove Packard to sell his shop on the Plaza, [Kate Foley] said. Packard's father, Frank, brought the family to Santa Fe in 1937. Frank had been working for General Motors and dabbling in Indian art trading in Oklahoma City before the Santa Fe move, Foley said.

She began as a molecular and cell biology major and is now in the school of pharmacy. Foley was recently selected an academic All-American with a 3.979 GPA. When practice began for the fall, coach Len Tsantiris saw a different player. He teamed Foley with Montacer in the middle and they have helped UConn to 11 shutouts.
