The content about nutrition in the elderly can be used as teachers' initial and continuing education in the field of vocational nutrition education on the iMooX learning platform and provided to them in the form of MOOCs for self-study, regardless of location and time. Ludger Schuknecht und Andreas Schleicher, OECD, erstellen eine Bestandsaufnahme der digitalen Infrastruktur der OECD-Länder, der Ausstattung der Schulen mit Computern sowie der technischen und pädagogischen Fähigkeiten der Lehrkräfte für eine erfolgreiche Vermittlung digitaler Kompetenzen. Das Ergebnis zeigt, dass es noch großen Nachholbedarf in vielen Industrieländern bei der Infrastruktur, den Lehrerkompetenzen sowie der Lernumgebung gibt.

Schnelle Internetverbindungen, leistungsfähige Browser und die Möglichkeit, mathematische Formeln schnell, komfortabel und korrekt in Online-Systeme einzustellen, haben zu einer deutlichen Ausweitung des Angebots mathematischer Inhalte im Internet geführt. Im vorliegenden Band werden Self-Assessment-Tests für das Fach Mathematik und Übungsplattformen für Mathematik aus mathematikdidaktischer Perspektive untersucht. Drei Beiträge behandeln mathematische Self-Assessment-Tests und zeigen, dass die derzeit angebotenen Tests weit hinter ihren Möglichkeiten bleiben. While the use of mobile devices for language learning has sparked the interest of an increasing number of researchers in recent years (e.g., Aizawa & Kiernan, 2003; Thornton & Houser, 2005), our knowledge of learners' preferences for the mobile platform and their usage patterns remains limited. Are learners prepared to use mobile phones for performing language learning activities, or is there still a preference for desktop computer environments? Do learners make attempts to use mobile phones and then opt for a desktop computer instead? When and where do those learners who choose to use mobile phones use them, and why do they choose them? The current study investigated 75 learners of English at a Japanese university who were assigned vocabulary learning activities which they could choose to complete on either a mobile phone or desktop computer. It sought to determine their intentions to use mobile phones for language learning if other options were available, to compare this with their actual usage patterns, and to determine when and why learners used mobile phones. Learner attitudes and preferences were elicited through a post-survey, and usage patterns were determined through analysis of detailed server logs. The results are discussed in terms of the readiness of learners to undertake mobile-based language learning activities, and the issues having an effect on the establishment of the mobile phone as a language learning tool.

Mit dem „Initiativpreis Aus- und Weiterbildung 2002” der Otto Wolff von Amerongen-Stiftung wurde die Audi AG nach dem Sieg beim „Weiterbildungs-Award” des Institute for International Research (IIR) und der Fachzeitschrift „management und training” zum zweiten Mal für ihre IT-Qualifizierungsoffensive ausgezeichnet. Rund 44.000 Mitarbeiter – vom Arbeiter bis zum Manager – erwarben im Rahmen dieser Offensive grundlegende IT- und Internet-Kenntnisse. Eine eigens installierte Lernplattform im firmeneigenen Intranet sorgte für das Erreichen aller Mitarbeiter und für eine reibungslose Organisation des Lernprozesses. Auf Grund der positiven Erfahrungen will man bei Audi die aufgebaute E-Learning-Infrastruktur künftig auch für die Qualifizierung in anderen Bereichen nutzen.
