Texas' Ross hospitalized briefly, but says he is OK
AUSTIN, Texas -- Aaron Ross, Texas' Thorpe Award-winning, All- America cornerback, was taken to a hospital after police and Emergency Medical Service personnel became concerned by Ross' disoriented demeanor at a Pflugerville restaurant. According to Pflugerville Police Capt. Jim McLean, police were called to Casa Garcia restaurant at about 9:10 a.m. after a woman waiting on Ross said Ross asked her, \"Where's the money?\" Police found Ross in the parking lot with minor damage to his car. Ross was disoriented and unable to answer questions coherently, McLean said police \"secured\" Ross and searched him and his vehicle. Officers found no evidence Ross was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, McLean said, adding that Ross was cooperative.
TRESPASSING TO CATCH 'EM ALL: Pokemon players are risking arrest or worse
\"Be careful where you chase these Pokemon - or whatever it is you chase - because we have seen issues in other places with people going onto private property where a property owner didn't want them on there, said Assistant Police Chief Jim McLean in Pflugerville, Texas. \"I'm not sure how he got back there, but it was clear what he was doing, McLean said. \"He was playing a Pokemon game with his phone up in the air. \"I wouldn't say it was worth it, but I would say I'm glad I have the Pokemon I have now, he joked. He added: \"It's a dumb game, really, really stupid.
Late rally fall short; losing streak reaches 5
In the third period down 5-2, the Regals caught fire. Clay Gauchier and Ira Gladue scored goals just over a minute apart and the Regals were back in the game. Michael Letendre then scored twice to give the Regals the lead, the second goal on the power play with 4:55 left. Comets Nov. 26, then return the favour in Manning Nov. 28. The Regals trail the Comets by four points in the standings for the last playoff spot and need a split to at least stay close. If the Regals are swept and go eight points down, their season could be over. Manning is already done with West Division powers Spirit River and Fort St. John, while the Regal have yet to play either team. That changes after the home-and-home with Manning. The Regals host Falher Dec. 1, then travel to Spirit River Dec. 3. They host Fort St. John Dec. 5 and Spirit River Dec. 8 as the schedule toughens.
JIM MADE IT WORK OUT FOR MIXU
\"All of us who played under [Jim McLean] were so lucky. I don't think we realised it at the time because he was a very tough taskmaster,\" said Paatelainen. \"I don't think it's a coincidence that so many of his explayers have become coaches and managers. \"Fearsome is a negative word, I don't want to use that. I have so much respect for what Jim spect for what Jim

Regals' run ends at 57 years
\"It's unfortunate, really disappointing,\" says coach Jim McLean. \"It's a situation where we needed an \"x\" number of dollars,\" adds The Regals entered the NPHL in 1957 after the completion of the Sports Palace the same year. The Regals were first sponsored by the High Prairie Elks. The name 'Regals' came from a competition at the local high school and the colours that the Regals still sport today, red and black, were also chosen at that time.
Regals live to play another day
The NPHL released its 63-game 2014-15 schedule on Oct. 5. Each of the league's seven teams - Falher, Fort St. John, Grande Prairie, Grimshaw, High Prairie, Manning and Spirit River - will play each other three times to comprise each team's 18-game schedule. The Regals did want more games. \"We're in good shape,\" said Regals' president Ed Kowalchuk. \"After talking to the executive, we've got money coming. It sounds good.\" Members of the executive have approached local businesses to see if they would help the struggling club. They are working very hard to see the club survive.
Our team, our town
The reality facing the club is that skilled players in the local area who could help the team, no longer want to play for the team. Tyler Shantz, Mitch Price, Jay Anderson, Craig Anderson, and Rocky Collins would bolster the local lineup immensely. Each has their own good reason for choosing to jump ship. The reasons appear to be varied. They don't like the coach, they don't want to play on the same team as this guy, they want to be paid, they want to win, they don't see the current executive as being committed to winning. Currently, High Prairie's business community appears to be unwilling to give money to the Regals to pay local players. It's the sad reality. Whatever happened to the pride of playing for the home team? It's a very valid question.

Being Catholic is not why I got Northern Ireland job: O'Neill
\"I remember being asked, 'do you think you've got the job because you're Catholic', and I said, 'I'm not here to say Mass, I'm here to pick a team'.\" \"If it was something of that nature that stopped me getting a job then it's poor because, if chairmen had dug properly, they'd have found quite clearly that it wasn't true,\" he added.
