MR -Tree: Novel Indexing and Retrieving Mechanism for Spatial Objects in Mobile PowerPoint Pages
Different from the traditional office software, due to the limited storage and computational capability of mobile devices, how to support the page editing in a fast and energy-efficient manner is fundamental. To address this challenge, we propose an MR * -tree based indexing mechanism for supporting the fast and energy-efficient retrieval of spatial objects in mobile PowerPoint pages. Based on this, techniques are developed to support the operations when editing mobile PowerPoint pages. Prototype has been implemented for facilitating the operations of spatial objects when editing mobile PowerPoint pages. Experimental evaluations on computers, pads, and smart phones show the effectiveness and efficiency of this technique.
Design and implementation of a user office system for the Canadian Light Source
To streamline the management of thousands of users and proposals for synchrotron experiments at the Canadian Light Source (CLS), we developed a modern, web‐based user services software system that enables the facility to transition away from manual paper‐based processes. This user‐friendly system offers comprehensive features for managing users, proposals, reviews, sample safety and publications. It has been in active use at the CLS for six years and has simplified and significantly transformed user operations. The system is designed for integration into other large‐scale facilities with minimal effort, and the source code is publicly available. An open‐source software system for managing user office operations at a large‐scale research facility is presented.
The twelve ways to convey engineering information visually
A systematic process was used to develop a complete taxonomy of visual representation mechanisms applicable to the display of any kind of engineering information. The resulting twelve categories are broadly divided into eight related to graphical elements treated individually and four related to the arrangement of two or more graphical elements treated in conjunction with each other. The taxonomy is oriented to inform the further development of user interface software frameworks supporting the automated display of interactive engineering information in any form.

Research and Implementation of Network Examination System Based on PHP Language
This paper introduces the design and implementation of a network examination system based on PHP language. The system adopts automatic design model of system role management user model, OFFICE software design and based on segmentation, effectively realizes the teacher management, exam papers, setting input, automatic and manual setting of editing and printing etc. Experiments have proved that the system is easy to use. It has good application value and promotion value.
Predicting the behavior intention of intelligent office software
In an era where artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly accessible to the general public, various AI-integrated products have emerged. Microsoft 365 Copilot, developed through collaboration between Microsoft and Chat-GPT, represents a new generation of intelligent office software that combines AI with productivity tools. This research aimed to explore whether intelligent office software will become a future trend in the field of office productivity. The study expanded the application of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to the domain of intelligent software and utilized the SWOT analysis method. The findings of this paper indicated that the design of Microsoft 365 Copilot could enhance Perceived ease of use (PU) and Perceived usefulness (PEOU). The improvement in these factors promoted users’ positive attitudes and behaviors towards the product, thus suggesting that intelligent office software aligns with future development trends. This study provided empirical evidence for the TAM theory in the context of intelligent office software and offers recommendations for the future development of Microsoft 365 Copilot based on the SWOT analysis.
