يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن حياة شاعر المقاومة محمود درويش قد كان درويش واحدا من الشعراء العالميين الكبار وهو لا يحسب على الشعر العربي وحده وإنما يحسب على التراث الإنساني كله وهو بالتأكيد شاعر القضية الفلسطينية ولكنه غاص فيها فأكتشف العام من خلال الخاص وأدرك الجذور الإنسانية ولذلك أصبح شعره يخاطب الإنسان المظلوم والمقموع كما أنه-كشاعر-كان يواجه الشر في كل أحواله ولهذا أعتبره العرب والفلسطينيون شاعرهم ووضعوه في صدارة المقاومة وصار في الشعر قامة لا تقل عن القامات الكبيرة التي نحتفل ونحتفي بها في الثقافة العربية.
