اشتهر المؤلف التركي أحمد أوميت بكتاباته الكثيرة في الأدب البوليسي الذي برع فيه وتمكن منه وقدم الكثير من المغامرات الشيقة والحكايات الدرامية المثيرة، يذكرك وأنت تقرأ له بروايات أجاثا كريستي، بل يرى بعض القراء أنه يتفوق عليها. تبدأ الأحداث عندما تعثر الشرطة على جثة في إحدى حدائق الأطفال في إسطنبول، وجدوا الرجل جالسا أسفل لعبة التزحلق وقد تلقى رصاصة في مؤخرة رأسه وبين رجليه دمية باربي، وعندما وصل النقيب المشهور \"نوزات\" إلى مكان الجريمة وحاول التعرف على الضحية وجد أنه كان رجلا متهما بالتحرش بابنته أيسون، ولكنه لم يسجن لأن الأدلة كانت غير واضحة وغير كافية لتؤدي لذلك.
