من يحق له أن يمارس التحليل النفسى ؟ أهم الأطباء وحدهم ؟ ام ان المحللين يمكن أن يكونوا أيضا من غير الأطباء ؟ أن هذه الماسجلة الواسعة التى دارت فى عام 1926 حول تنظيم مهنة التحليل النفسى وربطها بالسلك الطبى أتاحت لفرويد الفرصة. لا لمناقشة المشكلة من وجهها القانونى فحسب بل أيضا لعرض خلاصة التحليل النفسى مرة أخرى عرضا مركزا ومبسطا مما حدا \"بساندور تيرنزى\" إلى القول : إنى أعتقد أن هذا الكتاب يقدم خلاصة كاملة عن التحليل النفسى فى حالته الحاضرة خلاصة تتميز بالدقة كما بالسلاسة. ولو سألني سائل أى الكتب أستطيع أن أوحى بها للتعرف إلى مبادئ التحليل النفسى وزبدة نظرياته. لما ترددت لحظة واحدة فى تزكية هذا الكتاب.
