Overview
يعد كتاب \"العباب الزاخر واللباب الفاخر\" تأليف الحسن بن محمد بن الحسن الصغاني من أهم مؤلفاته وأسماها ألف الصفاني هذا الكتاب بإسم الوزير مؤيد الدين ابن العلقمي كما ذكره في المقدمة والعباب أكبر تصانيف الصفاني وقد أثنى عليه العلماء وقدروه تقديرا عظيما والحق أن هذا الكتاب هو أعظم معجم في اللغة العربية ألف حتى اليوم لا تجاريه معاجم أخرى بل لا تقاربه ولا تشق غباره فإنه جاء بما لم يجيء به السابقون ولا يساويه معجم، في كثرة مادته وغزارة ألفاظه لأن العباب حوى جميع ما في مجمع البحرين ثم زاد فيه مواد وتراكيب وأسماء الشعراء والمحدثين والصحابة وكثيرا من الشواهد التي لا توجد في مجمع البحرين ولا في معاجم أخرى.
