يوضخ الكتاب إن التسامح يعني الاعتراف بالآخر والتعايش معه على أساس حرية العقيدة وحرية التبير لا تكرما ولا منية وإنما حق باعتباره تعدد الطرق الى الحقيقة فالتسامح لا يعني ان نتخلى عن معتقداتنا وإنما ان نمتنع عن غضب الآخرين لاعتناق آرائنا أو قهرهم التخلي عن آرائهم أو الاستهزاء بوجهة نظرهم والقدح بهم وإن نهجوهم حقا أو باطلا.
