هذا الكتاب مجموعة من النصوص التي لها مرتبة مدخل إلى الحداثة الأدبية في الغرب بين أوروبا والولايات المتحدة وأمريكا اللاتينية وهو يضم أربعة لا يوحد بينها إلا الكاتب ولا الزمن ولا الجنس قاسمها المشترك هو حديث ثلاثة شعراء كبار وكاتب/فيلسوف عن الشعر والشاعر والوضعية المخصوصة للشعر في الحداثة هي ما يبرر عنوان الكتاب ونصوص تنطلق من الشعر ولكنها تطلعنا إلى جانب الشعر على عوالم متعددة وظاهرة أو خفية للعمل الأدبي وتصوراته الحديثة ومن أبعاد هذه النصوص أنها تهيئ الشبان الذين اختاروا نهج طريق الكتابة الأدبية وتقودهم إلى الطريقة المثلى التي يجب عليهم مباشرة عملهم على منوالها.
